Day 18--Sunday, July 11

Maintenance day--I took off for Soldotna to do laundry, etc. A moose tried to cross the road in front of me but fortunately did not. When I returned to camp, it was still in the same place munching!

Romey and Steve went floating on the Kasilof—

Must have been rather interesting when they go into the rapids in R’s boat—they broke 2 oars, S slipped on some rocks and did a flip—they were both tuckered out to say the least.

Most people float the river in rafts or kayaks—not R/S!

You really do wear sunglasses at night! About 11p--
